The Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education conducted Friday, February 3, a meeting cum orientation for all its Contract of Service (COS) personnel in the Regional Office.

The activity was participated by personnel from the four subsectors of the MBHTE – Basic, Madaris, Higher, and Technical Education.

It highlighted topics about attendance and absences, daily accomplishment reports, salaries, premiums, and gratuity relative to COS positions.

Despite having no employer-employee relationship, Minister Mohagher Iqbal believed that these COS personnel play very important roles and functions in achieving the Ministry’s vision, mission, and goals.

“It doesn’t mean na COS personnel lang kayo eh wala kayong talent at skills. I believe meron that is why we really need your services,” said Iqbal.

Iqbal also encouraged these personnel to take and pass the Civil Service Examination in order for them to acquire regular plantilla items.
