The officers and members of Madrasah Sarif Muksin PTCA at Sarif Muksin, Barangay Baluan, uttered their unwavering support to the operation of Madrasah in a bid to produce young generation of Muslims who are law-abiding and God-fearing citizens.
The ceremony was graced by the Chief Administrative Officer of the City Mayor’s Office, Karl Vincent Quiepo and Councilor Dennis Besa of Barangay Baluan.
Quiepo related that the city government is committed to provide responsive program for the Muslim and IP constituents through the City Mayor’s Office – Indigenous Cultural Communities Affairs Division.
He said the city government has been supporting the operation of different Madrasah centers of the city.
Quiepo added that CMO-ICCAD also implements program that facilitates the settlement of marital disputes among Muslim couples through the Shari’a Atas Bitiara Program where a team of Ulama, Kadatuan and Shari’a counselors.
He also said the city is also undertaking advocacy against violent extremism and he enjoined the parents to support the effort.
Quiepo added that the law enforcers verify the veracity of intelligence report prior to conducting raid.
General Santos City has more than 3,600 Madaris learners and 154 Madaris teachers.
