1 SDS, 4 ASDS take oath for a morally upright governance

Newly appointed Lanao del Sur I Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Sahanee M. Sumagayan, Cotabato City Division Assistant Schools Division Superintendents (ASDS) Sarapia G. Talapas and Bai Rojana M. Sinsuat-Imam, Marawi City Division ASDS Sobaida D. Ampuan, and Lamitan City Division ASDS Noel B. Notario officially signed their appointments and took their oaths Friday, January 20, before Education Minister Mohagher M. Iqbal at Em Manor Convention, Cotabato City.

Striving for a morally upright governance, these personnel accepted the challenge to work hand in hand with the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) to achieve its vision, mission, and goals, and that no Bangsamoro learner shall be left behind.

“I am only an instrument by Allah (SWT) to manage, guide, and assist our division in all our undertakings,” said SDS Sumagayan.

ASDS Talapas emphasized that Cotabato City Division – being in the heart of BARMM and with our leadership is in all out support to the ministry’s programs and advocacies guided by the principles of moral governance

As for what she considers as greatest accountability and responsibility, ASDS Imam said “as leaders in the education sector, we really need to strive and do the hardest and most difficult things that we can do to make education an act of justice for our Bangsamoro children.”

“I will always make my commitment, my work, and my responsibility to the best that I can, in shaa Allah,” said SDS Ampuan who is much grateful to be chosen among other applicants.

Believing that Moral Governance really does exist not only for Muslims, ASDS Notario knows that even if his position entails great challenges, he “can make even more difference for the Bangsamoro school children.”

“My wish, my hope, my prayers is that these appointees will be able to perform their duties, functions, and responsibilities for the betterment of the Education Ministry,” Minister Iqbal said.
