The Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) provided different educational support and assistance to learners and educators in Sulu during the series of activities held today, May 10, in the province’s Municipality of Baguingui.

Spearheaded by MBHTE Minister Mohagher Iqbal, the program began with the graduation of 50 training beneficiaries of the Bangsamoro Scholarship Program for TVET (BSPTVET) under Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) NC II and Basic Solar training areas. The ceremony was held at Tongkil National High School.

The 25 trainees from the EIM training area have received an allowance amounting to P5,040.00 while the remaining 25 have given solar kits.

On the other hand, 18 schools in Baguingui, under Sulu Schools Division Office (SDO) have been provided with IT supplies and equipment. Each school received the following:

1. 18 sets of desktop (All-in-One PC)
2. 18 units of Epson printer
3. 18 pieces of tumbler
4. 18 pieces of wall clock
5. 36 pieces of wall fan

The Sulu SDO was also provided with 120 units of android tablets which will be utilized by their teaching and non-teaching personnel.

Meanwhile, 43 Islamic Studies and Arabic Language (ISAL) Teachers-Asaatidz were deployed in the said municipality after signing their Contracts of Service renewal for the months of July to December 2023.
