28 new MBHTE officials sworn in to uphold Moral Governance.

On May 14, 2024, at the MBHTE Main Office’s RELC Building, 28 newly appointed officials of the Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education (MBHTE) took their oath of office and signed their appointment papers.

MBHTE Minister Mohagher Iqbal presided over the oath-taking ceremony, emphasizing the employees’ commitment to maintaining moral governance in serving the Bangsamoro community.

“The Ministry aims to ensure transparent hiring processes and is dedicated to eliminating any unethical hiring practices,” stated Minister Iqbal.

These 28 officials, who secured plantilla positions, underwent a rigorous selection process managed by the ministry’s Regional Human Resource Merit Promotion and Selection Board (RHRMPSB), which evaluated candidates based on qualifications, written and online exams, and interviews.

A representative acceptance speech was delivered by Anwar Ali Upahm, newly appointed Director 1, who expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with the Ministry.

In addition to the hiring and promotion activities at the Main Office, the MBHTE continues to screen candidates for teaching and non-teaching positions across school divisions and field levels.

Minister Iqbal concluded, “The reforms we’ve started, I hope and pray that whoever succeeds us will continue them. As long as I’m here, we’re expediting the hiring process.”
