The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), through the delegations from the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE), is joining the 2024 National School Press Conference (NSPC) in Carcar City, Cebu.
Spearheaded by the Department of Education (DepEd) in collaboration with and hosted by Region VII, the conference’s competition proper will take place on July 9-12, 2024, with the theme “Galing, Talino at Husay ng mga Batang Makabansa sa Diwa ng MATATAG na Adhika”.
48 events in the NSPC will be participated by the first-place winners of the Regional Schools Press Conference conducted by the MBHTE in Lamitan City, Basilan, last April 2024.
Former DepEd Secretary and Vice President Sara Duterte graced the afternoon opening program held today, July 8, in which she reminded and instilled to the learners, whom she called “future award winning journalists”, the importance of not assuming facts and telling the truth.
Together with the Vice President was Sen. Imee Marcos, who is known for her initiatives in supporting the education system in the country.
