The Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education, through its Education Facilities Section, has conducted 4 groundbreaking ceremonies for the construction of different school building projects amounting to ₱20,063,262.67 in the schools division of Tawi-Tawi.
Funded under the 2022 General Appropriations Act of the Bangsamoro (GAAB) and Special Development Fund (SDF) 2021, schools buildings are to be constructed at:
1. Kepeng Elementary School, Tandubas
2. Buton Primary School, Tandubas
3. Kepeng Elementary School – Annex, Tandubas
4. Hji. Yahiya Biste Elementary School, Bongao
Minister Mohagher Iqbal reiterated that the construction of school buildings in BARMM epitomize the ministry’s dedication to providing the best and safe learning facilities for the students and teachers while effectively utilizing public funds.
