The Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE), through its Health and Nutrition Unit (HNU), celebrated today, October 19, the 2022 Global Handwashing Day (GHD) with the theme “Unite for Universal Hand Hygiene”.

The GHD is an annual reminder that handwashing with soap and water is one of the best and simplest steps we can take to avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others. The global campaign is dedicated to raising awareness of handwashing with soap as a key factor in disease prevention.

Mr. Radoslaw Rzehak, Chief of UNICEF Mindanao Field Office, Mr. Roswell Thomas of Happy Tap, Datu Odin Sinsuat LGU, and other MBHTE officials and personnel graced the event at Tenorio Elementary School, Maguindanao II Division.
