The Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education’s (MBHTE) Directorate General for Madaris Education (DGME) conducted today, November 14, the day 1 of the Leadership and Management Training for Administrators of Formal Madrasah implementing Standard Madrasah Curriculum for the island divisions of Basilan, Lamitan City, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
Held in Zamboanga City, the 3-day activity is driven by the goal to equip the Formal Private Madrasah administrators with the necessary tools and knowledge to lead with integrity, foster a culture of moral governance, and drive excellence within their institutions.
The training focuses on developing leaders who possess not only strong management skills but also exhibit high ethical standards and promote values-centered decision-making.
It further aims to raise the quality of instruction in private Madaris in compliance with the standards provided by the Department of Education and the MBHTE.
With the inputs of the resource persons from the Development Academy of the Bangsamoro, Gebrael Nanding Makaton and Noraida Datumanong, the participants were equipped with deep knowledge of Moral Governance in Islamic Education, Role of Education Leaders in Peace Building, Conflict Resolution: Crisis Management and Emergency Preparedness in BARMM Education Context, and Cultural Competence in BARMM Education.
The training will also be conducted in other divisions this November.
