GENERAL SANTOS CITY — The Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education, through its Information and Communications and Planning Divisions, is holding a One MBHTE Information Systems Strategic Plan (ISSP) Orientation and Workshop which begun yesterday and is expected to end on February 18.

As defined in the BARMM ISSP Guidelines formulated by Bangsamoro Information and Communications Technology Office (BICTO), the ISSP is the medium-term plan that articulates the strategies, programs, activities, and resource requirements for the application of ICT in achieving the goals and objectives of all ministries, agencies, and offices.

The One MBHTE ISSP is a 5-year roadmap that contains the Ministry’s overall ICT strategy. Further, it serves as the framework for the organization’s intention to strategically use ICT to help achieve its vision, mission, and goals.

Resource speakers and IT experts from the Education Pathways to Peace in Mindanao were invited by the Ministry to lead discussions and deliver relevant inputs for the activity.

The 3-day activity was designed to provide the ICT focals, key officers, and personnel with concepts, techniques, and frameworks on how to formulate a solid ISSP that is directly linked to the agency’s mission and vision.
