MBHTE holds mass signing of scholarship contracts, notices of award for AHME-SP 4th cohort beneficiaries

The Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE), through the office of its Directorate General for Higher Education (DGHE), held Tuesday, September 5, at Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex in Cotabato City, the mass signing of scholarship contacts and notices of award for the 4th cohort beneficiaries of the Access to Higher and Modern Education Scholarship Program (AHME-SP).

A total of 700 scholars across the region are the 4th cohort beneficiaries who shall receive Php30,000.00 per semester for four (4) years, that is Php60,000.00 per academic year.

MBHTE Deputy Minister Haron Meling underscored that the scholarship program is more than just the allowance the students receive, it is the trust of today’s government to these students’ abilities and determination to be professionals who can help the future of the Bangsamoro Region.

Certain that these scholars can finish their studies, DGHE Director General Marjunni Maddi said “your success will be part of the achievements of the Bangsamoro Government.”

The scholars from Cotabato City, Maguindanao, and Special Geographic Areas who signed their contracts also received school supplies and materials from the Ministry’s Project Iqbal.

Marawi City, Lanao del Sur, Basilan, Lamitan City, and Sulu scholars have already signed their contracts last August 31 and September 25 is scheduled for Tawi-Tawi scholars.
