The Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) honours and proudly recognizes the outstanding achievements of the Bangsamoro youth athletes Fatima Amirul and Alnakran Abdilla at the 32nd SEA Games held last May 2023 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
During the 2023 COA-MBHTE Entrance Conference in Davao City, these remarkable athletes were given accolades for bringing pride not only to the Bangsamoro region but also to the whole country.
Amirul displayed her skill and determination and bagged the gold medal in Women’s Team Soft Tennis, while Abdilla’s performance in Men’s Beach Team Volleyball earned him a commendable bronze.
To express the Ministry’s commendation and in pursuit of its commitment in recognizing and fostering sports talent among the Bangsamoro youth, Amirul was awarded with PHP 500,000.00 cash incentive while Abdilla received PHP 100,000.00.
Minister Mohagher Iqbal underscored his dedication to nurturing and celebrating the diverse talents of the Bangsamoro youth, fostering a culture of excellence and pride in their accomplishments.
