MBHTE Launches School-Based Feeding Program in Lamitan City Benefiting 10,000 Youth

The Lamitan City Schools Division, in collaboration with MBHTE-BARMM, has begun distributing supplies for the School-Based Feeding Program. Aimed at assisting 10,000 beneficiaries, particularly severely wasted and wasted learners from kindergarten to grade 6 across 10 recipient schools, the program provides essential items such as iron-fortified rice, coco crunch, milk, and monggo beans.

The distributed items underwent inspection by the School-Based Feeding Program Technical Working Group (SBFP TWG) to ensure their quality and suitability for the beneficiaries. The SBFP TWG has committed to closely monitoring the program’s implementation at each recipient school.

The initiative received positive feedback from parents and learners, who expressed gratitude to MBHTE, particularly to Minister Mohagher M. Iqbal, for his support. Acknowledgments were extended to the Health and Nutrition section in MBHTE for their role in facilitating the program.

In conclusion, the launch of the School-Based Feeding Program marks a significant effort to address malnutrition among school-aged children in Lamitan City. The Lamitan City Schools Division extends gratitude to MBHTE BARMM for their support in this endeavor.
