The Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) headed by Minister Mohagher M. Iqbal on Thursday, May 11, paid a courtesy visit to Sulu Governor Abdusakur Tan.

Acknowledging the important roles the local government units play, the MBHTE believed that in order to attain quality and accessible education in the whole region, a collaborative partnership between the Education Ministry and stakeholders shall be well-established.

In an article published by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU) last March 2022, Secretary Carlito Galvez, Jr. commended the security situation in Sulu as it significantly improved over the years, creating an environment where all sectors can closely work together.

With this, the MBHTE believed that bringing and implementing relevant education-related assistance, programs, and projects in the province would be easy and accessible especially if the collaboration with the Sulu LGU has been strengthened.
