393 trainees of the Bangsamoro Scholarship Program for Technical Vocational and Education Training (BSPTVET), specifically under the KAPAKANAN (Kasanayan Para sa Kabuhayan ng Nangangailangan), have been provided with training tool kits by the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education in a distribution ceremony held today, May 14, at Tawi-Tawi Gymnasium.
These trainees are from the following training areas:
1. 25 trainees (Produce Organic Fertilizer)
2. 25 trainees (Produce Concoctions and Extracts)
3. 25 trainees (Raise Organic Small Ruminants)
4. 20 trainees (Support Agronomic Crop Work)
5. 20 trainees (Support Horticultural Crop Work)
6. 25 trainees (Support Nursery Work)
7. 25 trainees (Prepare Cold Meals)
8. 20 trainees (Cake Making)
9. 20 trainees (Assembly of Solar Nightlight and Post Lamp)
10. 23 trainees (Masonry NC I)
11. 23 trainees (Tile Setting NC II)
12. 50 trainees (Plaster Concrete/Masonry Surface)
13. 20 trainees (Bread Making)
14. 20 trainees (Pastry Making)
15. 32 trainees (Dress Making NC II)
16. 20 trainees (Electric Installation and Maintenance)
The KAPAKANAN program of the BSPTVET is one of the initiatives of the MBHTE through its Directorate General for Technical Education that aims to address the specific skill needs of the communities, promote employment through entrepreneurial, self-employment, and service-oriented activities in the Bangsamoro region.
The Ministry is continuously granting skills training scholarships to qualified individuals in order to increase access to vocational education and to help improve the livelihood of its beneficiaries.
