The Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education (MBHTE) spearheaded a groundbreaking ceremony for the commencement of projects totaling PHP 21.6 million yesterday, January 24 in the province of Tawi-Tawi. These projects, consisting of covered courts with stages and bleachers, are a result of the initiatives of Member of Parliament (MP) Atty. John Anthony “Jet” Lim.
The groundbreaking event took place at Pahut Elementary School, marking the official start of construction for covered courts in various locations.
The projects fall under the Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF) of MP Atty. Jet Lim and will be implemented in Datag Bud ES, Languyan, Tawi-Tawi (Covered Court with Stage and Bleachers – Php 7,733,700.00), LT Ladja Idanan ES, Sapapa, Tawi-Tawi (Covered Court with Stage – Php 4,638,700.00), Pahut ES, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi (Covered Court with Stage – Php 4,638,700.00), and Likud Tabawan ES, South Ubian, Tawi-Tawi (Covered Court with Stage – Php 4,638,700.00).
Engr. Zubair A. Guiaman, OIC-Chief of the Education Facilities Section-ESD, MBHTE, delivered the rationale behind the TDIF and highlighted its benefits for the Bangsamoro constituents.
Sh. Bukhari Camama, Speaker of Moral Values Program of the EFS-ESD, MBHTE, expressed gratitude towards the BARMM Government for availing such beneficial projects.
During the 5th Founding Anniversary of BARMM, Atty. Jet Lim commended the decision to hold the groundbreaking activity, emphasizing the significance of the moment.
Dr. Lermalyn A. Jalas-Sangogot, EdD, the School Division Superintendent (SDS) of Tawi-Tawi, assured strong support and collaboration, emphasizing a commitment to the delivery of programs and projects for Bangsamoro learners.
MBHTE Minister Mohagher Iqbal has continuously emphasized the importance of collective commitment of the education ministry in fostering peace, education, and progress within the Bangsamoro region through its respective programs and initiatives.
