The Ministry Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) will be constructing nine (9) school building projects in Sulu Schools Division Office (SDO).
During the groundbreaking ceremony held today, May 12, the Ministry’s Education Facilities Section (EFS) underscored that these projects are both for the learners and faculty members.
1-storey with 2-classroom buildings will be constructed at the following schools:
1. Panglima Agga Central School, Old Panamao
2. Hj. Hassan Idon ES, Talipao
3. Kaumpang Gilingan ES, Pangutaran
4. Lahnagan PS, Pangutaran
6. Pangdan ES, Tapul
7. Buan ES, Siasi
9. Likud PS, Pata
11. Kahoy Sinah, Parang
12. Mudjunun ES, Patikul
Minister Iqbal has emphasized that as the preparation for the groundwork for a new facility begins, it should also be understood that we are not only preparing for the construction of a building but also a new chapter of providing accessible, safe, and quality facilities for all.
These 9 projects in Sulu has a total contract budget of Php 44,772,320.71 and will be subsidized under the Special Development Fund 2021 and Government Appropriations Act of the Bangsamoro 2022.
The Ministry emphasized the commitment, transparency, and observance of Moral Governance in all programs of the BARMM education sector.
