Education Minister Mohagher Iqbal led today, May 11, the meet-and-greet activity with the Sulu scholars of the Access to Higher and Modern Education (AHME) Scholarship Program.
Together with him were Asst. Regional Cabinet Secretary Atty. Sittie Mariam Balahim, MBHTE Chief Legal Officer Atty. Mojahid Guro, and Director Generals of the Ministry’s four (4) subsectors: Abdullah P. Salik, Jr. for Basic, Prof. Tahir G. Nalg for Madaris, Ruby A. Andong for TESD, and Marjuni Maddi for Higher Education.
The total number of scholars from Sulu are 104, 200, 100, and 100 for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th cohort, respectively.
The AHME is one of the flagship programs of the MBHTE which provides Php 60,000.00 education allowance to every student per academic year.
