The Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE), through its Health and Nutrition Unit, concluded Thursday, March 7, the month-long celebration of the 20th National Dental Health Month at Cotabato City Central Pilot School.
With the theme “Celebrating decades of healthy smile”, the activity aimed to raise dental health consciousness in schools and communities, promote oral health, spread awareness of its effects on general health and well-being, among others.
Highlighting the importance of proper oral and dental health especially to the Bangsamoro learners, Cotabato City Division Superintendent Dr. Concepcion F. Balawag said, “Various initiatives and campaigns are launched to educate the public about proper oral hygiene practices”.
During the event, the MBHTE also awarded the winners of the conducted online competitions.

Further, the MBHTE held a ceremonial distribution of Dental Health Kits which are expected to reach every child across the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region.
